Pathways - Northfleet

'Pathways' is the new name for Perry Street Day Centre. Pathways is a service for adults aged 19 or older with a learning disability. It is fully accessible for people with mobility problems or who may be in a wheelchair. Pathways is a friendly service, that encourages individuals to learn new skills, and increase in confidence. The service offers a variety of activities to suit people's different interests and abilities.

Cooking sessions include:

'Cooking for Independence' - learn to make cheap, healthy meals that can be recreated at home. Learn about budgeting, food safety as well as improving your cooking skills!

Exercise sessions include:

Line Dancing - learn how to line dance from a qualified line dance teacher.
Men's sport group
Keep Fit

Creative sessions include:

Woodwork - work as a team to make items that can be sold. Recent items made include show jumps, a bench, garden planters, bird boxes, and drama sets.
Gardening
Jewellery Making
Art and Craft

Slower paced sessions include:

Reminiscence and History - a session for older service users to revisit the past. The session includes historical visits, and indoor activities.
Massage and Nail Care - learn to do hand and foot massages, relax in the massaging chair, learn about nail care.

Technical sessions include:

Computers - improve your computer skills. This session is available for people of all abilities.

Community based sessions include:

Allotment - learn how to grow your own fruit and vegetables at our allotment in Gravesend.

Outings for all sessions

Evening Activities

We arrange frequent social events for service users to access the community. The group is particularly for service users who lack the chance to go out in the evening. Activities include going to the cinema, the pub, out for a meal or going bowling.

Events

We plan to arrange events at Pathways, such as discos and quiz nights. Keep a look out for forthcoming events.
