DGSM yourChoice has benefited from a grant from Children in Need and is looking for the following:

a)       Job Title:        Young Peoples Holiday Workshop Coordinator

             Hours of work:          50hours per workshop

                                                  5 x 1week per year during school holidays (excluding Christmas)

             Salary:                        £17,802 pro-rata

 

For this post you would need to be able to plan, coordinate and publicise dance, drama and music workshops for young people with and without a learning disability around Kent and Medway areas.

 

b)       Job Title:       Dance Tutor

             Hours of work:        10 hrs per week

                                                5 x 1 week per year during school holidays (excluding Christmas)

            Salary:                        £20 per hour

         

To plan, coordinate and deliver dance workshops for young people with and without a learning disability around Kent and Medway areas aiming to develop dance skills and increase confidence.

 

c)      Job Title:        Music Tutor

            Hours of work:          6hrs per week

                                                5 x 1 week per year during school holidays

                                                (excluding Christmas)

            Salary:                        £25 per hour

 

To plan, coordinate and deliver music workshops for young people with and without a learning disability around Kent and Medway areas aiming to develop music skills and increase confidence.

 

d)      Job Title:        Drama Tutor

            Hours of work:          10hrs per week

                                                5 x 1 week per year during school holidays

                                                (excluding Christmas)

            Salary:                        £25 per hour

 

To plan coordinate and deliver drama workshops for young people with and without a learning disability in the Kent and Medway areas aiming to develop performance skills and increase confidence

 

For all of the above you will need:

• To be confident working with young people with and without a learning disability
• To be creative and able to design publicity materials
• Excellent organisation and communication skills
• Proven skills of helping people to develop their abilities and potential
• Relevant qualifications in dance, music etc.

Domiciliary Care Support Workers
Bexley, Dartford, Maidstone & Malling

Hours: Full time, Part-time or Casual/Relief
Salary: £15,444 - £16, 440 (pro-rata p.a.)
Paypoint 13-16 

Skills and Experience needed for the post:

• Experience of working with people with learning disabilities and dealing with challenging behaviour
• Good written and communication skills
• Ability to work on your own  
• Car driver (essential)

Casual/Relief Support Workers

Salary: £6.98 per hour (days)  £7.64 - £8.14 per hour (nights)

Location: Various

Hours: As and when necessary

Skills and Experience needed for the post:

• Experience of working with people with learning disabilities
• Experience of dealing with challenging behaviour
• Good team player
• Ability to work on a rota system
• Ability to work on your own
• Confident and calm disposition
